Vaginal access

The uterus is removed through the vagina. In this case, the hysterectomy is always complete. Removal of the adnexa is possible, but can sometimes be difficult.

This approach is often chosen when the patient has already given birth vaginally, the uterus is mobile, and its size is manageable. This approach does not allow for examination of the entire abdominal cavity and is often chosen in cases of benign pathology.
