Hysterectomies

Removal of the uterus. This can be a total hysterectomy (removal of the uterus and cervix) or a partial hysterectomy (removal of the cervix).

In a total hysterectomy, the uterus is removed through the vagina. In a partial hysterectomy, the uterus must be divided and removed through small incisions in the abdomen.
